Flowers on my Sketchbook

Lately I have been looking at flowers and flower photos a lot... May be I'm trying to keep them in my mind and in my sketchbook before the winter comes (Autumn is starting here soon!).
I love flowers but I don't like gardening, I think I'm lazy and I don't like the texture of earth, instead I go around other people's gardens admiring their dedication and hard work.
I have trouble cutting them as well, I feel they belong to their plants, don't get me wrong, I think they look beautiful in vases and they complete any decoration, but I just can't cut them! I just like to look at them, their colors, their textures, I like to smell them and touch them... I also like to see photos, drawings and paintings... and best of all I love to capture them on my sketchbook.

Copic Markers

Playing With Copic Markers by MagaMerlina
I have had these Copic Markers for a while but haven't use them much. I haven't work with any type of markers before and to be honest I don't quite know how to use them.
I have read a lot about how wonderful these Copic Markers are and seen great art journalers like Anna Denise and Kathrin Jebsen-Marwedel using them, so I decided to give them a try.
I started by doing a color chart (left) and coloring the little mandala ruberstamp on the right.
Then I colored the mandala (below) which a drew with a Copic Multiliner.
Because these markers are alcohol based they bleed through the back of the page, I got the beautiful image (next page below). Then I added little details.
I love the bright vivid colors and the fact that the coloring is "even" with no lines.
I know there are lots of things you can do with them but I'm just a beginner. I will be playing with them and trying new things. Any suggestions?

Art Journaling. New Daler-Rowney sketchbook.

I recently started this new sketchbook for my art journaling.
It is a Daler-Rowney Ebony Sketchbook. It is 148 x 130 cm and has unperforated 150gsm acid-free paper suitable for paper collage, ink and light watercolor washes which are my favorite mediums.
So far I'm liking it. I like its size and format, its paper and the fact that opens completely flat.
Here are my first pages.

Two painted pebbles using different tools.

Two painted pebbles by MagaMerlina
These pebbles are a little bit bigger from the others I have done. This time I am using a dip pen with Hunt 512 nib and  Dr.Ph.Martin's White Bombay ink.

Hello again!

I arrived from my six week vacation last Friday. I had a great time with family and friends and didn't have much time for sketching... or art making... I was craving a little bit and finally yesterday I was able to sit down to do some line work. you can see a detail view here. I will probably add some watercolor later.
