Doodle Pages: Tools and Supplies

For these pages I used my favorite tools and supplies.

Winsor and Newton Watercolor Bijou Box, modified to fit 15 half pans instead or the original 12, filled with Winsor and Newton Artists' WC and some Daniel Smith.
Sailor Sapporo fountain pen EF nib with Platinum Carbon ink which is waterproof.
Water brush and some red Kolinsky sable brushes.
The little book is a Daler-Rowney Artists' Sketchbook.

You can find a visual evolution of my sketching tool here.

Here is a photo with a list of the paints in my watercolor Bijou Box.

  2. How did you get five half pans to fit in the center row of your Bijou box? I can only get four sideways... and I'm using W&N half pans so I know they're small enough. I got rid of the removable dividers. Did you just bend the permanent ones? Thanks for any advice you can offer. Gorgeous palette, too... I love the bright, clear colors you picked.

    1. Sandy, I pulled out the permanent dividers, it was scary to do but I did. I kind of pulled "rocking" them back and forward until I got them out. I'm very happy I did and it is my favorite box!!! Thank you and good luck if you decide to do it.

  3. I did it and it worked... removing the center section created a couple of small holes on the bottom but I doubt it will ever leak with the pans so close together. thanks!
