The Calling...

Well, it seems that my spirit-soul is calling me. I haven't paid much attention to it lately and I think it's about time. I know it because I have everything I need, pretty much everything I want but there is still an empty space which is not filled up...
So... I started meditating again, I've been in and out meditation several times, I think it is a hard discipline, not meditating but doing it every day.
I also started something completely new for me, kind of a dream I had as a child... I started doing Karate, yes...KARATE!!! I did my first class yesterday. I was a little bit intimidated since the only exercise I do is walking, but I did it and I loved it! (a little sore today but survived)
I'm committed again, lets see for how long...I hope it's for a long time.
It feels good!!!

  1. Good luck with your meditation. I flirt with a sort of meditation-- writing morning pages-- every once in awhile, but it's hard for me to commit to much of anything outside of work... However, when I do them I can get through a day with a feeling a satisfaction. I just write a max of 3 pages without censoring myself and then I tuck the notebook away until the next time.

    1. Thanks Lakeshia! I did morning pages for almost two years along with meditation. It is a great exercise, you get rid of "things" and also make discoveries some times...

  4. Your drawing and handwriting is lovely and congratulations on starting something you wanted to do from childhood. I think it benefits us all to pursue something that inspired us as children. It helps us to reconnect with ourselves.

  5. Good for you - Karate is some sport! Nice that you're trying that. Your artwork is lovely and I think your handwriting, the colors and designs are top-notch! Keep up with the meditating, I do it too and some days are good and some not so good. I follow OPen Heart Project [http://susanpiver.com/open-heart-project/] and do meditation with her 1-2 days a week and just on my own the others. Its all good.
Glad to see your post! Fran T

    1. Thank you Fran, I love your work too!!! I'm loving the karate. Meditation is a hard discipline it terms of "learning to stay", but makes me fell good, grounded and balanced in the long term. Will check the link, thanks.
